I got the Valentine Card in the mail! OMG, they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Aly looks like alot of the puffiness from the steroid is going down--they look more alike than ever. It was really great to get to see you & Dustin at Kaden's shower, just wish we would have had more time together. Keep us in your prayers!
Welcome to Aly and Izy's blog! Everyday is crazy one in the lives of these two little girls. Aly and Izy were created out of love with the technology of Invitro Fertilization and about $20,000. Their little adventure to get here was amazing and we got to watch every step of the way. There were a few sad days but the day we got to bring our little girls home from the NICU we knew it was all worth it.
There were several times during our pregnancy that we would go in for our ultrasounds hoping we would still have two heartbeats. Then the news of possible twin to twin transfusion syndrome, then there may or may not be a dividing membrane so the girls only had a 50 percent chance to live. But during it all we stayed positive and hoped for the best. Aly and Izy fortunately did not have any of the conditions we were told they may have, but they were still born 7 weeks premature and had to stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 11 days. They were strong and healthy a beat many odds and today are happy, healthy little go getters. It just goes to show, you can't take life for granted and you have to live everyday like it's your last day!
